FAQWho is eligible for an Angel Hair system?Any child or teen who is dealing with hair loss due to a medical condition and lives in or is treated in the state of Oregon is eligible for an Angel Hair System. How do I apply?Simply fill out the two page application form and send it to Angel Hair Foundation. How long does it take to receive an Angel Hair System?We know how important it is to a child to have hair and look and feel accepted by their peers. We strive to deliver the Angle Hair System to the kids as soon as they need it. We schedule two meetings with the child. At the first meeting we measure the child’s hairline, select color, and test for any allergies to medical adhesives. Then we order the system. It can be delivered in as few as three business days. At the second meeting we fit, cut, and style the system. We also educate the child and family on how to maintain their new Angel Hair system. Does the Angel Hair Foundation take donated hair?Yes, please see hair donation page for more detailed information. How much Does the Angel Hair System Cost?Angel Hair Foundation provides high-quality hair systems to the kids. The Angel Hair System costs approximately $1,500. How much do the kids (families) pay for the Angel Hair System?There is no cost to our Angel Hair kids or families. Thanks to generous donors, the Angel Hair Systems are given FREE to every child who qualifies. The Angel Hair Foundation, a private, non-profit corporation, reaches out to children in Oregon who have lost their hair due to medical illness. It provides the funding needed to purchase natural looking, quality hair systems, often called Angel Hair. The foundation was started when Staci, daughter of Market of Choice President Rick Wright, went through chemotherapy and received a prosthetic hair system.
